When I was having some issues adding the commenting system to my web site, I was able to quickly get a response from the JS-Kit team and their users. GetSatisfaction provides a way for companies to do that. JS-Kit Echo uses GetSatisfaction for their customer support. Tamar is also the author of The New Community Rules (July 2009).

The numbers would be a lot more representative if this approach was implemented, and the incentive to have users gaming these systems would be substantially diminished. What you really are asking for is a private messaging system, which was never the intent of shouts. Delete whatever shouldn’t be there regularly, or just disable shouts altogether.
