Let me explain …. Five years ago, a tech savvy, digitally focused company could find satisfied and unsatisfied customers venting about their product or service on any number of electronic forums (you remember UUnet , AOL Chat rooms, Fucked Company etc …) These were online bulletin boards, chat rooms and blog si

Tweet We are well into the year 2011. But I found this very nice visualization on the Twitter blog that I wanted to share. It shows how New Years Eve looked like on Twitter. On New Years, Japan broke the all time record of tweet sent per second (TPS) with 6,939 TPS of a Japanese happy New Year wishes: “Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu”. Something Old, Something New, The Beatles On i-Tunes

Social and Logical

Timelessly cool, such is the nature of the Beatles. You’ve probably already seen this billboard image. Just as their music never goes out of style, their look is as hip now as it was back then. It kind of reminds me of Jack White and his former band the Raconteurs. Many of today’s indie artists also don a Beatles-esque look. The lyrics, “Come together right now over me,&# is such a fitting statement for social media.

Which NBA Teams Have Seen the Most Growth on Twitter and Facebook?

Adam Sherk

Last year I did a couple of posts on the reach and engagement of NBA teams on Twitter and Facebook. Yesterday Yago Colás came across one and shared it with the students in his Cultures of Basketball course. The students thought it was an interesting concept and one of them, Blake McLimans , pulled updated numbers for all of the teams. Since it has been a year since my original post I thought I’d use Blake’s figures to look at the growth percentages for all of the teams.

How does your brand look on social media?

Janet Fouts

It’s a given these days that before at least 50% of the first-time meetings you’re about to have you and the person you’re meeting will have Googled each other to learn a bit more about the person.
