Why I Can’t Trust Klout Anymore

Klout is a site that measures your influence on the web, using social media sites. Essentially, the more influential you are on social media websites, the higher your Klout score is. The score goes from 1 to 100, and I would say that it’s pretty easy to get a Klout score of 30 or higher.

I’ll admit that it’s fun to bash Klout. I have the belief that, despite what Klout says, it ties a large part of how “influential” you are directly to how much you tweet. That’s my Klout score over the past several weeks. This is the main reason I just can’t take Klout incredibly seriously.
