The results automatically update in front of your eyes, and watching Kurrently results for a buzz-worthy live event is a breathtaking portrait of our interconnectedness. This is big in terms of privacy — and to open the eyes of FB users who may not want the world to see what they're writing. Not sure how he found it.

Despite its shortcomings (and there are many), Twitter is easy to use, and from a personal view it seems to hold fewer privacy risks than Facebook and location-based apps. Content is king, agreed. Twitter provides ready access to said content. As for youth and the percentage of young Americans on Twitter, people age, so give them time.

In case it isn’t obvious, Facebook wall posts are completely public to all your friends (unless you tweak your privacy settings). I don’t think anyone has really mastered it, but I know there are some people who will utilize privacy settings (block wall posts, photos, and the like) on some individuals.

More so than any other event I attend, SXSW is conference roulette. Location, Location, Location The biggest story of the event was the widespread usage of presence services foursquare and Gowalla. Largely, it didn’t happen. I maintain that QR codes will eventually be as huge in the U.S. as they are in Asia, just not yet.
