Directory Submissions By nature, directory links are of a very poor quality. Sometimes I’ll also pay $100 or so to BOTW.org which is a human-filtered directory which can give me some great link juice. As soon as I’m cached in this directory I find my rankings to increase almost instantly.

You can also use twitter based directories like twellow , wefollow , etc to find people who fall into the same categories as you. Work on building outposts for your content on social bookmarking sites like Digg and Delicious to help get more exposure for it. Use the search to find people talking about your company, product, or niche.

They can send out strong visual and text messages in a few seconds similar to what web sites do now. Just because a TV or radio is turned on doesn’t mean anyone is listening.

The benefit of directories like Ezine and Article Dashboard is that you don’t have to build your own website and you can usually rank quite highly for the phrases used in an article title because the site has so much ‘weight’ in Google. I’m certainly not an expert writer, but I do know how to make money with my words.
