On a regular basis, I watch the domain names that Google registers, as sometimes it is an indication of things to come–sometimes the registration of a domain name may indicate a future project. One of the domain name typos that they registered is coogle-analytics.com. google-analytic3.com.

Microsoft Acquires Synsup Labs Domain Names

In an interesting move that might indicate an upcoming acquisition or a major project in the works, Microsoft has acquired 47 domain names related to Synsup Labs. Here is the list of domain names related to Synsuplabs that Microsoft has quietly acquired today: synsuplabs01.com. Post on Google Buzz.

Based on domain name registrations by Microsoft in the past few days, Microsoft appears to be working on a project called “Microsoft Madeira” It could also be called “Project Madeira” I haven’t seen anything related to this yet based on a Google search: https://www.google.com/search?&safe=off&q=%22microsoft+madeira%22.

So, Jonathan explains that he moved his domain names over to Name.com. Jonathan set up a few domain names on Name.com for a project and queried the DNS using the dig tool. Jonathan claims that: If I query a domain name that doesn’t exist, I’m supposed to see a failure. Is this such a bad thing?
