Just over a year ago, my role at Buffer shifted, and I became a Growth Marketing Manager working on Buffer’s Growth Marketing team. For Buffer’s Growth Marketing team, running experiments is fundamental to the way we work. To date, I’ve run 25 experiments in our Adwords account.

It has nothing to do with Obama himself, other than the fact that his team was the first to use online marketing strategies effectively in the execution of a presidential campaign. The online marketing industry will benefit greatly from the competitive spending that will surely follow this $1 billion campaign.

If you have experience with Facebook Ads Manager or Google AdWords, managing your ads on Quora will be a breeze. Once you’ve finalized your targeting, set a Cost per Click (CPC) bid (similar to Google AdWords). Once, at a Facebook Marketing Partner (not Agorapulse), we generated poor returns on our client’s ad spend.

While that sounds like a great idea, if your business marketing depends heavily on social media, then you have to consider that taking a long break from social media might have a negative impact. You should hold a meeting with your marketing team and review your operations manual. Put good processes in place and let your team run them.
