I’m taking two seminar courses at school this term, and they each resemble a particular form of social media. The blogger (Professor Jutras) posts his ideas, occasionally throws in some editorial and takes some light, widget-fed microblogging (the current events some students share). I see this seminar as a forum.

and after being a full time mom and performing various social media marketing tasks throughout, I’ve learned that there are many parallels that can be taken from parenthood that also apply to social media marketing. Maybe it’s on a forum. MrBabyMan , Digg’s top user, was an unknown once.

In the past few weeks, however, even Digg’s other top users are seeing that Digg is becoming more difficult of a social news site to enjoy, and after stepping away from Digg for awhile, I have some thoughts and reflections on how it was and possibly how it should be. In fact, most of them had already left.

Such was the case for this Digg story , which compared multiple web hosting companies and watched as these hosts handled the traffic spikes that resulted from the Digg effect. Digg is the social media network of tech geeks, and the Digg statistics should not be too surprising: 39% of Diggers publish their own blog.
