If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. Google Analytics Before Google Analytics came along there weren’t really that many decent tracking tools available. If you’re serious about your website, you can learn a lot from this tool.

June 1st : 6,866 May 31st : 7,543 Change : +677 I really don’t know what is going on (I’m still down over 1,000 Google Reader subscribers compared to usual) so that would suggest I’m at least over 8,500. What they don’t know is it provides you additional exposure as long as you create a valuable content.

Meta Tags When you search for a site in Google, you’ll see a snippet of content under the page link. I should mention that Google announced a few months ago they do not crawl the keywords tag anymore. Although factors other than links apply, I will say that Google are very favourable towards Wikihow for a large number of terms. Attractionhowto.com is a really terrible website and doesn’t even have the six pages I counted unless you include their RSS feed. 1 site ranking Wikihow.

What a conversion actually is varies from site to site, but for me, my conversions were product purchases and RSS subscriptions. I also put prominent RSS hints on popular pages such as the blogs list. Once you get to the 500 – 1,000 subscriber mark, you have far more people naturally promoting your content for you.
