Traditional marketing only goes so far and emailing news is not the best way to communicate with people and even worse if you want to have your message shared with others. The little geo-apps can connect with your other popular social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook and can even identify friends from these other services that are using the same location based apps as you. I downloaded the free Gowalla app from the iTunes store and started to play around. Yelp has an enormous user base.

I realized I had a virus/malware/rootkit when I typed something into Google and when I clicked a link, Firefox sent me to some completely different site. As I said the browser redirect virus is random so there is a chance I get to the site I wanted to look at. How NOT to use your Social Media Marketing Manager!

It includes the nice news that 713,000 Absolute Radio applications have now been downloaded to mobile phones, and people used them to listen to 215,000 hours of live audio (mobile development is one of the things I’m heavily involved in). Moments later the site when down and my darkest fears were true. The entire site is down and I can only imagine what the admins are having to deal with. The site has been around for a while but in recent weeks I have been seeing a lot of activity on my profile that I hadn’t seen before. etc) and FriendFeed personalizes your data feed with info from each of the sites. Once a dormant social site that I used only for aggregating my rss feeds has now become a full fledged community.

You can download it yourself as a. They reference services such as Wikis, but what I can’t find in there is a reference to the value provided to companies by the content uploaded by consumers in the form of comments, reviews, articles etc, or from inbound links from sites created by consumers ( for example). Sites like Craigslist and PetFinder often offer pets for free. Sometimes you can get anywhere from 15 to 50 prints of your photos depending on the site and the time of year when you register.
