Search for conversations about your brand, your competitors or relevant industry terms to find fresh mentions and links. When you go to your Pro Dashboard, scroll down until you see the PRO resources which include webinars, discounts for members, and a list of the top directories you can submit your website to.

If you’re entering an industry with a brand new site, the last thing you want to do is wait that long for some good search engine traffic. Directory Submissions By nature, directory links are of a very poor quality. As soon as I’m cached in this directory I find my rankings to increase almost instantly.

Imagine a new brand, with commercials on tv, newspapers, magazines, etc., It would make sense if you get a lot of links from authorative websites, but not a ton of article directories and the like.

You could simply buy directory links, sponsor blog posts, and even have Wordpress themes developed which included a link to your site in the footer. I didn’t focus on directory submissions, forum links, paid links, article directories, or anything of the sort. These days however, things are very different. That was it.

A client I worked with last year received a massive boost in search traffic when we removed their brand name from title tags on their blog posts. Focus On a Keyphrase Unless you’re very into branding, it’s a good idea to try to optimise your site around a keyphrase that can send you search traffic.

The strategy comes in three parts: monetisation, traffic, and branding. In order to really leverage sites like Facebook, Twitter and Stumbleupon, at least for a blog, I think you really just need to focus on writing the best content you can, which is what I will continue to do. It’s good to be back.
