If I am on phone with someone and I have an idea I want to capture real quick, I go to the search box in my browser (which is always open), type in my quick note and search. Install widget (on a blog page, Facebook, etc). update avatar, bio, links, email, customisation, etc). Widgets (number of new widgets users / embedded widgets). Use the design widget. Put the widget on their blog or Facebook, etc). Groups (create / join / total number of groups / group activity).

Install Recent Global Posts widgets: Display recent posts from all blogs across your network, and bump your featured blog posts to pin them throughout the day. Update topics for featured blogs: Create specific forum topics for each of your sites and reply whenever your blog posts get kicked out of recent posts widgets.

I play with my widget all day. While I madly typed and wildly clicked, my avatar just kept on smiling. My vision’s distorted. All I’m seeing are the letters S, E and O. Worse, I think I’m losing my mind because I don’t know who some of my friends are—at all—no idea who they are. I couldn’t stop. I ate up their feeds.

I scan 275 RSS feeds in Google Reader and I use dozens of bookmarklets and shortcuts to help me manage it all. Enter Gmail and the Google Toolbar.
