I take conference calls on the treadmill, in a hotel lobby, at a conference or sometimes on my horse. Here are a few of the apps that allow my business to be mobile, always on, and productive wherever I am and almost all work across multiple devices, crucial for a mobile workforce. Flexibility is key in this business.

At least the hotel had free wifi, I thought to myself. Except that as I’ve gotten settled at the hotel I’ve found out that they block access to every social site. It’s possible but I much preferred the idea of doing it from the hotel at night during my “off&# time. I was ok with that. Enjoy your holiday.

Now let me stipulate these case-specific facts: Although we were able to re-book via phone (albeit via India) we still had to stand in line to get a hotel voucher and find out the status of our luggage. Allow the customer to choose from a list of pre-approved hotels, when applicable. Give them a number or card for their group.
