When it comes to link building publishers have a significant advantage because editorial content, be it hard news or evergreen content, lends itself naturally to linking and sharing. Should you add that to your “write for us” guidelines page? You should just not accept guest posts from people who submit content to you that way. People who write content this way are spammers or a terrible SEO Company. an article) in exchange for a link, it violates our link scheme guidelines.

I’ve already shared how I personally became a much better writer (though I don’t rate myself that highly) and now I want to get into the specifics of how to create compelling content. Similarly, if I see content posted on Facebook or retweeted on Twitter, that same headline will determine whether I click through to your website.

Bloggers who are compensated can use the “nofollow&# tag within their outbound links to keep those links from being tagged by Google as paid content. The nofollow may well make that harder, but then again, if you are under contract I think it’s the buyer’s responsibility to track the postings of the paid blogger.

I’ve already written about Google’s recent algorithm update that has resulted in many websites losing search rankings while benefiting WikiHow and eHow, both considered content farms by many SEOs and Internet marketers. Google’s algorithm was intended to address content farms and lower their rankings. But eHow gained.
