If you use Facebook aps for StumbleUpon, etc. You can no longer behave one way on digg and another way in StumbleUpon. Some people have avoided making that call on the Internet thus far through avatars, but that won’t fly with FriendFeed. Tamar is also the author of The New Community Rules (July 2009).

I needed to differentiate Digg from social media because they actually are part of a distinctive community (and as you know, I’m very passionate about Digg so it really did deserve its own category). But by far Stumbleupon is the most diverse, and mature social network. The jury is still out for me on Twitter.

Add an avatar and a bio at the minimum. Social News (Digg, Sphinn, Mixx, Reddit, Tip’d, and a whole load of related sites) Submitting only your own articles and posts to social media sites.
