Since the Digg submission of my story was already buried , I sincerely hope that Digg listens to what their community members have to say. Reply Our Monmouth May 1, 2008 at 8:49 am Internet privacy concerns always make me think twice before I click. You can no longer behave one way on digg and another way in StumbleUpon. As more and more social interaction gets pulled together on the Web, I think people will lose a little bit of freedom and privacy. Great post.

Professionalism and Privacy. Privacy is a huge concern for those individuals who want to keep their lives out of search engines and out of the reach of prospective employers who might find incriminating information. Quite often, finding a teacher on MySpace doesn’t bode well with the community. Answers Yahoo!

My uncle knows a young girl from his community, a recent college graduate, who is looking for a social media job. Just because my work includes strong involvement with social media doesn’t mean that I need to let everyone into my personal life… or for that matter… open my privacy so you can see all my posts.

But over the past few months, the Facebook community has become a huge success and is continuing to flourish, and my classmates are slowly beginning to join the network. Despite the fact that Facebook has the most customizable privacy settings of all social networks (though we could argue with their effectiveness in a whole other post), people don’t like maintaining a “business&# identity on the same profile as their “personal&# (fun?)
