To summarize the article, there should only be one URL used to get to the homepage of your website. Avoid creating a mosaic of advertisements on your website.

In February of 2011, Google released the Panda update that took rankings away from websites with low-quality content and sites with more advertising than content. Check by going to the following URL, and replace domain.com with the website’s domain. Join communities like My Blog Guest. Google’s Panda update.

Permalinks Permalinks are simply the URL’s for your posts. p=38 but if you look at the URL for this post you will see [link] I’ll let you decide which one you think looks better. I currently use the following format: Some people like to have categories in there but I like to keep URL’s as short as possible.

You can also choose a very aggressive spam filtering method that will consider any DM with a URL as spam. You might also want to see that they are future upstanding members of the community. Tweet content: URLs. If a high percentage of the user’s Tweets are filled with URLs, you might not have an interest.

If you market via PPC it gives you a decent estimate of the advertiser competition as well. For example, if I want to leave a lot of blog comments, it’s going to be a hassle to constantly type in my name, email, and URL. This is a community site where the content with the most votes gets pushed to the homepage.
