A seminar is different from a regular course in that it necessarily involves interaction with the students — a seminar is to a regular lecture course as web 2.0 is to web 1.0. I see this seminar as a forum. In a forum, some threads get “stuck&# to the top and are thus afforded more visibility.

The easiest way to find these people is to find the communities that your users frequently visit, be it forums, Twitter, or other social networks. get Twitter mentions of your brand via RSS or email) or use a service like Backtype (backtype.com) to see comments across blogs and other social media sites (such as FriendFeed).

Steven reports that the average user from one niche forum stays for more than 7 and 1/2 minutes! Others want massive brand exposure.

I was excited at the prospect that there might be some freedom for someone who was forced to clearly break every rule that was in the ethical Internet Marketing handbook. My top three forums include Cre8asite Forums , Webmaster World (which is mostly free but also has subscription-only discussions), and High Rankings Forum.
