A good answer should address the audience’s needs, include language that jives with the brand’s larger external communications strategy and feels appropriate for the type of customer service you want to be known for.

That story hit the front page of Reddit and on Digg , and 67 people voted on my comment : Props to Reddit for visibly interacting with the community it serves. Second, there is the bury brigade on Digg; you never see any story that doesn’t jive with their politics. Any help building the community would help.

Now, take a look at the official support areas for WordPress , Telligent , MindTouch , Jive or any of the dozens of social software vendor sites. The developers are often the most active members of their respective communities and they’re using their own software day after day in the course of doing their jobs. Notice anything?

Do good, positive things for the community. Submit content that jives with the recipient. For instance, I rarely talk about software.)
