It made sense, a majority of the company was based in Mass. At that point I had been in long enough not to have my feelings hurt, when you work for growing companies they have to make financial decisions that tend to lay-offs versus other measures. So this leaves me on hunt for another great company to be a part of.

What I mean by decent leads is that you can see if there are companies looking for people with specific skills but your resume is going to be thrown into a pile of 1000 others that may or may not get looked at even once. As a person looking for work, you need to track down the HR or hiring manager on your own to make initial contact.

Probably for the best because I got hired to build their Channel Program but the company had so much channel sales conflict I wanted to puke. I fought the good fight despite the company selling their product direct. The company has a global presence in disaster recovery and disk maintenance. Being out of a job is not very fun.

This process used to be run manually and some companies still do it this way, but there are tools available that can run what is called a Dynamic Test that can automate the process. or testing lab. I guess after reading this post on Mashable about the two companies the reason for the lack of adoption was due to issues with their service. Gowalla launched at the same time at SXSW but I only heard about them this year. I downloaded the free Gowalla app from the iTunes store and started to play around. Do you use a different app?
