Perhaps the URLs are being recorded somewhere, on another server, and the search engines have started indexing those URLs. to index those URLs. I had a feeling Google was picking it up somehow, but couldn’t narrow down exactly where they were picking up the URL. So, what can you do to combat issues like this?

There are many social media channels where people can spread unbased opinions about others, tag inappropiate photos, and otherwise mess with your reputation. First off, I’m very happy that they are aware of the 301/302 redirecting issue and can handle it when we redirect our domain names or URLs from an old URL to a new URL using a 301 Permanent Redirect. That’s one reason why I’m glad that Bing is going to be powering Yahoo! Search soon.

And add in new technologies and web sites such as social media web sites and there are even more search engine optimization factors. When you click a link or visit a web page on your web site, does the URL change? When linking to other pages on your website, some links redirect to other URLs.

There are a lot of blog comments pointing to my URL. I have never purchased links nor have done any automated link building such as xrumer… The domain is 11 years old and I have devoted the past few years of my life to it. I took a look at the nearly 100,000 backlinks to the website that site has. Share this on del.icio.us.
