My general recommendation is to use the free version until you start seeing uptake by the community. While we do live in a world of RSS feeds and links tossed around via Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, the best Blogs are designed well. Blogs, books, newspapers, magazines, tweets, etc. online community. Design matters.
