Leaving the default avatar in place is the kiss of death in terms of getting people to follow you. It can be something simple like “Excited to meet and connect with other architects on Twitter&# or “Have heard so much about integrating Twitter into my marketing plan, just have to give it a try.&#

They need to meet specific criteria (of your choosing) before you go ahead and proceed, and this will apply to the various types of following options that Tweet Spinner offers (to be discussed). With this filter, you must meet all the criteria before a person is followed. You can even test to see if one performs better than another.

All the other sites I network in are usually done under another persona, but I am a very good friend to have and very supportive of my friends even though I don’t know anything about most of them beyond the avatar. (My My ‘offline’ friends think I’m absolutely nuts for all the digging and stumbling I do.)
