I like to focus on building search engine traffic to my sites because once you have rankings you can usually sustain them with little effort and the traffic they send is very targeted. If you’re entering an industry with a brand new site, the last thing you want to do is wait that long for some good search engine traffic.

I’ve been interviewed about marketing using guest posts over 10 times, I’m mentioned on the homepage of a guest posting community and I’ve written far more of them than I care to remember. Traffic - There are millions of webmasters out there and they’re all competing for targeted eyeballs online.

They have undoubtedly created the world’s most sophisticated search engine. I am utilising them because we’re not competing on a fair playing field, and what is supposed to work is very rarely what ranks, at least in the industries that I operate in. They Continue to Make People Scared of Link Building.

They are simply the top 10 blogs in the world…according to the Technorati engine criteria. Picking a brandable name means that people can easily come back to your site time and time again via the address bar in their browser or a search engine like Google. 75% more if their numbers are anything to go by. How did they do it?

First, if you look at their traffic stats with Compete you can see that they have traffic spikes and dips at around the same time: Then, looking at feed subscribers , despite the large difference at the start of the graph, their growth rate is on a very similar consistent rise.
