I do a bit of targeted advertising on Facebook for the site and the fan page. nothing expensive but I like knowing that other people in Concord and surrounding area can find me on Facebook. I’ve been using LinkedIn for years, mainly to keep in contact with old coworkers that I don’t have connected on other social media like Twitter or Facebook. How NOT to use your Social Media Marketing Manager! Until this recent job hunt, I didn’t dig into the robust features that LinkedIn allows for.

The little geo-apps can connect with your other popular social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook and can even identify friends from these other services that are using the same location based apps as you. There are bound to be more location based mobile applications that hit the market. Do you use a different app?

If you didn’t look at the URL of this false Twitter page, then you might not have noticed that it was actually just a page on the domain access-logins.com which was also faking Facebook’s front page. We immediately reported the offending domain (and warned our friends at Facebook). Use get_bookmarks() instead.
