My Change of Strategy For the last few months, I have been working on some projects with friends that took up the majority of my time. These are projects that needed my full attention because of the amount of money that had been pumped into them, which became the main reason I wasn’t able to update the blog as often as I would like.

A great many are built as a one-off project and are then only lightly maintained, sometimes through “programmatic SEO” or other website automation techniques. We would link to each other, remark on trends from popular forums, and comment on each other’s posts.

They are mostly profiles, forum links and blog posts which are high PR do follow. Going to start a blog similar to yours once I get my feet wet in affiliate marketing…a lot has changed since I stopped the simple things I was doing to run my web design business. They are not relevant to my site but still of very high PR.

The three ways I looked for a model were: Posting an Ad on Gumtree (the most popular classifieds site in this country) Creating a thread on a popular model forum in South Africa Sharing a tweet saying that I was looking for models in Cape Town Out of all of these methods, the response rate was quite different. Keep up your greatness!

I won’t deny that it’s getting much, much harder in the affiliate marketing space (how I make money) but persistence, determination and creativity can take you anywhere. I’m still curious what your ultimate site project looks like, when will you reveal it ?? I’ll see how things go. Thanks Glen.

Many million dollar launches online weren’t just created because of the ‘list’ of the product creator, but from the thousands of affiliates they get to promote their product as well. You don’t have to just build brand new websites that get traffic from search to make money through affiliate marketing, though.
