The site does not resolve on smart-phone browsers, and if they sell products online, their e-commerce platform has no social functionality (no review functionality, no commenting functionality, etc). In general, there are no visible calls to action to engage with social channels and little if any interactive assets.

If you use Twitter regularly, you’d see that it wins as a social news site that provides instantaneous news — at least of that caliber. As Chris Garrett explains in his post, if you follow numerous feed bots, you can get the news all the time. The right news will hit the front page of Digg quickly.

When I reviewed the poster’s account, I understood why. Some advice I give to my Social Media students is to be careful following the example of some large brands who are relatively new to Social Media but seem to be successful. Small businesses can’t always follow by example, unfortunately.

Founded by four ex-Googlers, FriendFeed allows you to subscribe to your friends’ updates across 35 social networks and to stay up to date with the content they’re discovering and sharing across the web. But I guess that I got over it because I am pretty cool with my the content and reviews and so on.
