One can only wonder if this is because Digg is more concerned with a proposed $300 million sale. In other words, they don’t give a damn about the community and they seemed to have moved on — perhaps completely. As long as Digg continues to ignore the community, the community will be vocal in their own way.

A regularly updated Fan Page brings greater awareness Community Page : What if you love something but you have no direct affiliation with the product/service, can’t find the official page, and worse, discover the page doesn’t even exist? Community Pages are the most annoying thing Facebook has given us , but I see their point.

Social media connections are those I know through a variety of online forums, the blogosphere, Twitter, and the like (but I generally don’t befriend someone immediately; I still give it time). I get fixated on one community and ditch the last, yet I still have my profiles on them and they usually get outdated within minutes.

The initial sentiment was highly negative , and most concluded that the algorithm will penalize users who care much about the community and use it regularly. At first, a Digg embargo was proposed where no Digg users would submit or Digg stories until Monday, January 28th. Then the community “won.&# Thanks, guys!
