Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor. If you’re reading this in a feed reader or inbox, thanks for subscribing! Subscriber Stats Feedburner is so erratic that I just can’t take it that seriously anymore.

I went from having over 150 blogs in my feed reader in the last few years to just 12, purely because I was seeing the same content over, and over (and over) again. target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> 66 Comments book says: May 6, 2010 at 11:11 am Glen, I think, you got the idea for this post from your personal experience.

I now think my post on reaching 10K subscribers was indeed a bug (I did say it might be in the post ) and the site is at 7,543 readers. Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor. But with Feedburner, who knows. Netherlands will rock your place.

You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers. For some reason, I had a lot of issues with it a few months ago. You can never have too many backups.

Anything that shows community on your site is also a good thing in my eyes. At the top of all ViperChill posts ( click through if you’re reading this in a feed reader or your inbox) you will see a large button which shows how many tweets this post has and encourages other people to tweet it as well.
