After which, click on the 404 Template button and you’re in. You can basically add anything you want to this template. For Lady Non-Techno-Einstein, the words “add anything you want to this template&# strike fear into the belly of the beast. Just where am I supposed to “add anything I want&# to the template?

They have also added the Like button to their post template: At least to-date a prominent Share button is still present too. And interestingly when you click through on that story the Like button does not appear on the page: Since this is a blog post it is likely that Time just hasn’t rolled out integration across all editorial templates yet.

This cultivates a thinking community where information is evaluated, and then adapted and built upon. To speak to both of those: Because of the way my blog template is structured, its difficult to get the photo credit right under the photo. In some templates, it shows up as extra-large quotation marks. Read All About It!

If someone asks me what blogging platform to use, I am always going to say self-hosted WordPress. It gives you full ownership of your blog & its content, full control over design & functionality, lots of support because of the number of people using & writing about WordPress, and an overall professional presentation.

There are several other options, such as Flickr, Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, etc… even Ping.fm. It really is a community. I think what delights me most about Amplify is that there really is a community sense to it. I don’t auto-post to all of those, but it’s nice to have the option.
