Whaddya Mean-Blogging is Dead?

Every few months somebody proclaims that blogging is dead and being replaced by micro blogging and other media and this post on the Forbes blog by Jeff Bercovici seems to say that Facebook and Twitter are replacing blogging. I’ve never been a daily blogger, but that doesn’t devalue blogging itself.

Twitter announced today a new feature called “ Twitter Tales “ The idea is to feature the stories of users and how Twitter has impacted their lives. It may sound mundane but I think it’s a good example of how a site like Twitter impacts everyday lives in unexpected ways.

You see, lots of bloggers have their blog posts syndicated on other sites that aggregate content, and sometimes we write posts specific to a site just to get our names in front of more readers who frequent that particular web site. It’s like guest blogging, but more focused.
