Look at the url on this one: videos.dskjkiuw.com does that really look like a trustworthy URL with the garbled mess in the center? If it isn’t a shortened URL and contains a string of letters like that, chances are it’s no good. The links usually hold some clues as well.

It will even autotweet out your new blog entries with the shortened URL and predetermined hashtags as soon as you post a blog. etc) which will auto 301 redirect back to the correct version, or even let you install a custom branding bar that overlays at the top of the screen when someone clicks, even after retweet.

This also includes the way things are coded and tagged on your site (URL structure, OG tags, etc.). This content needs to be focused on your customers, their pain points, and used to help, entertain, or educate them as needed and appropriate. Keyword Research & Targeting. Search engines still run on keywords.

Do a thorough audit of your site and ensure that all of the architecture (URLs, Meta tags, OG tags, etc.) Find sites that already rank for the terms / keywords that your customers are searching for and work out guest posts, content, links, etc. when possible. have been optimized and added where needed.

The old root URL (shuaism.com) was redirected to the new root URL (JoshSPeters.com) using the cPanel at my domain host. I changed the URL structure a little to make it more SEO friendly. I also removed some pages and wanted links to their URL to point to a new pages. I did this for all posts, pages, categories, and tags.

Heck, even their campaign URL ( [link] ) just redirects to their FaceBook group. The only place I discovered where they were trying to sell anything is on the GAP Twitter stream where they give a couple links to pages where you can buy stuff at a discount. Everything in this campaign smells like awareness to me.
