Anyone can visit online meeting places like Digg and Reddit and promote the voices and opinions of others, and anyone can mobilize a group of people around a common cause on Facebook or elsewhere. Not one of them has a blog (solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers etc). Facebook is growing closer to the size of google.

In the past few months, I’ve dealt with companies who are unfortunate victims of bad links in Google, but those links refer to incidents that are years old (and are even resolved). Think of all the attorneys that do insurance defense work…no friggin’ way could I do that and sleep at night. it’s a dilemma.

We may never know why someone who (by her own claims on Google Groups) was pulling in $5,000/month via counseling fees, affiliate marketing programs, and essays posted to paying websites such as Squidoo, would risk it all in a scheme that only raised a few hundred dollars.
