At first glance, Joomla isn’t the best platform for blogging. But that doesn’t negate all the strengths Joomla brings to the table as a content management system. Why even give Joomla a chance? I know what you’re thinking: why on earth would you even consider blogging with Joomla? Not everything is missing.

And it’s really great for quickly and easily generating leads and then tying those leads into whatever marketing automation system you might be using today: Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua Oracle, Infusionsoft, MailChimp, whatever you’re using, Uberflip can hook you up. If you want to pull in blog articles, you can do it via an RSS feed.

Sure, there are other blogging platforms and content management systems you can use on your own domain, but none are quite as popular or powerful as WordPress. I can tell you that while it is a great theme, it is not as easy as drag and drop because I have worked with a new WordPress user that was very, very confused by the system.

The reason development was so cheap is because the plugin is actually a very simple concept, and just pulls in content from customised RSS feeds that other services (like Google Blogsearch) are producing. One thing I wish was that WordPress would work on more is their membership system.

Content Management System There are thousands of ways to build websites. An alternative, and a solution I prefer, is to use a free CMS like Drupal, Wordpress, or Joomla. Make sure you grab the feed. of new websites come online everyday, so there’s no way a human system could go through all of that.
