Yesterday I attended the Sharepoint geekfest at The Hilton Sydney. I plonked myself down in the front row, iPad at the ready, to listen to Daniel McPherson ( danmc ) talk about socialising the business with Sharepoint. Obvious one is Community Moderator for those that volunteer community admin duties. How scary is that!

Sharepoint developers implement Sharepoint, yet they don’t use it to manage the implementation. The developers are often the most active members of their respective communities and they’re using their own software day after day in the course of doing their jobs. Notice anything?

I think this book is one of the best treatments of how to empower knowledge workers and it covers what knowledge management should be. New Open FAST-SharePoint Search Bits Post @ MSFT Codeplex. SharePoint. Future of Communities. It was a hard act to follow and his concerns certainly gave me a humorous and humble intro.
