This way you can make sure you never miss an update by the people you actively want to follow. It can take almost any blog and feed it into a Twitter account, so you see new items when you’re on Twitter or using any of the Twitter applications. Also, being able to go to my profile to see what music I'm listening to is also an interesting concept - not sure why they wouldn't use the news feed for that, though. Also interesting is the activity I'm seeing by Facebook's Director of Product, Blake Ross, recently. The launch of OpenID Connect support. support last year.

Beyond the limitations posed by simply having learners assign themselves (or have their corporations or supervisors assign) learning activities, I long for the day where social networks fully allow the interaction of a secure Active Directory where ALL is allowed. Facebook took a major (yet curiously underreported) move in this direction last week, when they enabled companies to publish to Facebook members’ news feeds for anyone that has “liked&# a Web page. If a user can have a single login and it all feeds to one spot (Facebook newsfeed or other place) it is powerful, period.
