I now think my post on reaching 10K subscribers was indeed a bug (I did say it might be in the post ) and the site is at 7,543 readers. Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor. Thanks for what was clearly a lot of work on that book!

I don’t think it matters what you read but published, physical books, are probably the best place to start. Books from any major publishing house go through rigorous review by editors who’ve spent years perfecting their skills in this area, so the end result is usually some fantastic written word.

Although I don’t have any goals for the size of the community here, I still think it is an interesting metric to monitor. July 1st : 7,543 July 31st : 8,174 Change : +631 For writing so little, and having a lot less traffic than most months, July didn’t turn out too badly at all in terms of feed growth.

You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers. This is a community site where the content with the most votes gets pushed to the homepage.
