Blogging by teens (ages 12-17) has been cut in half - from 28 percent in 2006 to 14 percent in 2009. Social networking sites (SNS). Where did they go? 73 percent of teens and 72 percent of Gen Y are now active on at least one SNS. 71 percent of young adults prefer Facebook while 66 percent of younger teens prefer Myspace.

Get Featured in Google News I discovered this tactic when working for one of the largest newspapers in the UK as their social media manager. I actually have used this tactic in the past to leverage paid search results, and it yielded pretty nice returns. Props on taking it a step further! Excellent Job.
