On top of that, the publishing industry thinks that the customer is the buyer at the big chain retailer and not the reader. How many difference makers are there in the industry you serve? When it comes to marketing and communications, Seth Godin is - without question - a true game-changer. He currently runs Squidoo.com along with his latest business, The Domino Project , a new/disruptive book publishing company powered by Amazon. [Retail] Use These 5 Design Elements to Create the Optimum Blog User Experience
Amazon is the largest online retail store in the world—they could really give us some great lessons in design. This post is by Mark Acsay III of Webby Thoughts. One of the main unacknowledged problems with today’s websites is that many just follow the favorite design of the month. When Flash was born, we got bombarded by Flash-based sites that took forever to load. When sliding banners came along, almost everybody wanted to have one too. Yet when they do, they waste a lot of that traffic and lose the confidence of their potential audience through of bad user experience. Shape. Color.

Retail is the final sector. Despite several international brands launching branches in Egypt, the retail sector is still not saturated. Looking for somewhere unique to set up a business? Egypt is one place to consider. Steps to privatize and deregulate the economy, along with the Central Bank of Egypt’s supervision of local and foreign banks in the country, have allowed Egypt to withstand the international economic turmoil easier than other countries. If you know where the opportunities lie and where to bank, you can capitalize on this to make your business a success. Not at all.

It’s not as easy as writing it down on your “to do” list though. Modern day entrepreneurs put in thousands of hours, not to mention blood, sweat, and tears, before a single pitch goes out (if you can call it a pitch, that is, since it’s much more than that). You might wonder why a certain website emerges as the leading one in its niche when there are hundreds or even thousands of other sites on the web that are basically serving the same content. Aside from thinking of the reasons why, the more important question to consider here is how they managed to do it. The answer is simple: certain sites are more popular because they’re offering something that the other sites don’t. What Is A/B Testing? B testing is very similar to another testing method called multivariate testing.

They invest a huge amount of time and money to explore and investigate our culture and I’m always impressed by the line-up of experts they reach out to, before they release their report. Check out their trends for 2013 in this 2 minute video and then you can read a little from JWT’s Director of Trendspotting, Ann Mack as she answers a few of my questions about the trends and how they impact you.

The reality is that Pinterest is a phenomenal tool for retailers, but if you’re a blogger or content marketer who uses words more than pictures, generating buzz using Pinterest may not be as easy. This guest post is by Krizia of CreateProfitableVideos.com. So you’ve started using Pinterest to promote your blog. Congratulations! When I started using Pinterest to promote my business, at first I was just happy uploading cool-looking photos. From my experience, Pinterest can be a colossal waste of time.
