Page 3 My third and final tab on Netvibes is used for reputation monitoring: Here I have simply added RSS feeds from places like Twitter Search and Google Blog Search. I read these through FriendFeed where I’ve setup a private room for these feeds. Will be interesting to see where this goes. Thanks for the tips.

If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. If you find that your readers go to the top right hand side of the page, you can put an ad there or something else that you want to get viewed. For some reason, I had a lot of issues with it a few months ago.

June 1st : 6,866 May 31st : 7,543 Change : +677 I really don’t know what is going on (I’m still down over 1,000 Google Reader subscribers compared to usual) so that would suggest I’m at least over 8,500. If you’re also having issues, I urge you to @MattCutts on Twitter and ask him to look into it.

What a conversion actually is varies from site to site, but for me, my conversions were product purchases and RSS subscriptions. First of all, I made my feed subscription options the first thing anyone sees in the blog sidebar so that they get a lot of views. I also put prominent RSS hints on popular pages such as the blogs list.

And I don’t even do this manually; the process is automated thanks to RSS feeds. At the top of all ViperChill posts ( click through if you’re reading this in a feed reader or your inbox) you will see a large button which shows how many tweets this post has and encourages other people to tweet it as well.
