Customer service is rolled out to solve problems and make customer complaints go away. So how do you create a customer experience? customer experience is created by customizing what the customer encounters enough that they feel taken care of. | IMAGINE YOUR REALITY SEPTEMBER 26, 2012 The difference between Optimism and Positive Thinking Attitude Blog business coaching business development positive thinking Taylor EllwoodThere is a category of business books that I’d say focuses on how you think about business more than on how you run business. Think and Grow Rich, The Magic of Thinking Big, and Rich Dad, Poor Dad are examples of these kinds of books. However its important not to confuse positive thinking and optimism. | | | | | | | IMAGINE YOUR REALITY MARCH 24, 2011 Why I deleted automatic tweets from my blog Up until recently I used twitterfeed to post updates to my twitter account whenever my latest blog entry was posted to this site. It was a convenient, automated way to get the info out to Twitter that the blog was posted, but in thinking about automation recently and how it doesn’t really help create relationships, I began to wonder is there was really any value in getting a tweet sent out with just the title of my blog and a link. Now when my blogs post, I’ll need to actually grab the link, convert it to a bit.ly In looking over the bit.ly | IMAGINE YOUR REALITY SEPTEMBER 13, 2012 Intelligence and Business behavior Blog business business development creativity intelligence Taylor EllwoodIn the Magic of Thinking Big , the author points that intelligence isn’t all its cracked up to be and that it doesn’t matter how intelligent you are. What matters is how you use your intelligence. agree with him. Intelligence isn’t all its cracked up to be. Then there’s street smarts. | IMAGINE YOUR REALITY JULY 30, 2012 What are you willing to trade off? Blog business business development business growth doing business your wayThe other day I had a chat with a friend and he pointed out that there’s a trade off when you choose to do things your way versus doing it the way someone else does it. It’s a good point and one that is sometimes missed in the rush to be successful at business. The question is: Is that who you really are? | IMAGINE YOUR REALITY SEPTEMBER 11, 2012 Action Cures Fear Attitude Blog business action action cures fear Fear Taylor EllwoodI’m reading The Magic of Thinking Big and one phrase really stood out to me: Action cures fear. In thinking it over, I found myself agreeing with that statement. Fear, as an emotion, tends to cause indecision, even causing a person to freeze. When I feel fear, it holds me up. Do that task. Take action! | | | | | | | | | -
IMAGINE YOUR REALITY | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2010 Why information sharing isn’t social It’s pushing information out one way, and the interest is in getting people to go to the website or blog, as opposed to interacting with people and building relationships. I see a lot of people get on Twitter and other social networking sites and just post tweet after tweet of information. Nothing else. And worse they cross post it to every social media account, without really considering the relevance of the writing or the fact that they are posting to other people. What creates a relationship on social media is interaction and conversation. MORE >> -
IMAGINE YOUR REALITY | TUESDAY, MARCH 15, 2011 Social impressions and links Whenever I see someone post a link to an article or a blog entry or something else, I wince when it looks like it’s automated. Ideally you want someone to click on your link and go to your website, blog, or wherever else, but if there is no motivating reason to do so the link becomes useless, and also acts as a strike against your social presence on social media. Still if you want to do a test of this principle, have your posts with links to your blog automatically sent to Twitter. Social impressions are important when it comes to posting links. MORE >> -
IMAGINE YOUR REALITY | THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2011 The Social Rules of Google Plus Blog social media behavior Google plus social etiquetteThe more time I spend on Google Plus, the more I see a divide among people using it. Some people really get into and love it. And others use it less and less, and wonder if there’s a real purpose to using it. They get frustrated with it. like Google plus. And as I spend time on it what I notice is that it’s more focused on sharing information with people commenting on that information than anything else. It’s not like Twitter, but it’s not like Facebook either. do get some responses on regular updates. MORE >> -

He isn’t stuck with the present” This is a useful skill for a business owner to cultivate. IMAGINE YOUR REALITY | WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2012 Your Attitude is the core of your business Attitude behavior Blog business life Taylor Ellwood work-life balanceOn my business assessment form I have attitude as one of components of business that I want my clients to assess. The reason is simple. Attitude is the core of the business. Your attitude sets you up for failure or success. Your attitude is expressed in how you view the world, how you react to situations and even your ability to take responsibility for your actions. Attitude is discovered in the thoughts you have, the mental tapes that run each day. Recently I came up with an activity for working on attitude. MORE >> -
