All 1,800+ active members of MENG were emailed on November 15, 2008 and asked to complete an online survey. The Survey was closed on December 2, 2008 with a total of 643 responses (representing a 36% response rate).

In a survey released this week, 43% of respondents said they use social media daily. The survey went on to say that the 30-49 age gap is closing in on the under 30 crowd for social media use. There is only a 13% difference between the two age groups in usage, compared to 42% in 2008. It turns out, Pew was ahead of me.
