Facebook’s opening of the API to searches (and the subsequent inclusion of Facebook content in Google, Bing, Yahoo search results) blunts the historical searchability advantage of Web pages. And a search engine of it's own. It would be a giant spam engine.

Register your site with all the top search engines. Passports are accounts on other social networks and social media platforms. Twitter.com is a must if you have a social media audience. Facebook and/or MySpace are useful social networks where you can build outposts (see next list). Learn from them.
