When your charities tweet or post information about a campaign or a cause, statistics or a link to a good article, consider retweeting that post on Twitter, liking it on Facebook, or blogging about it.

You get short codes, widgets and metrics. I use it for the surface stuff (number of visitors, page views, where they came from, time on site), but also for the deeper campaign information using UTM tags. Vimeo : Sure, I could use YouTube. Vimeo is awesome for that purpose. Lots of flexibility with this tool.

If you don’t want to change the backend though, you can simply use a widget for your category dropdown and change the name to topics, that way it displays on the sidebar as such. It just depends on the site and the community! The key is providing value and quality interaction! I really could go on about this for a bit.

Speaking of clever, the next one is Clever Widgets. This is something I remember I’m sure I’ve asked Mario before, I’m just like, “Mario, I wanna put this widget in this area but I only want it to show when people are looking at this category. What I’m really asking for is conditional widgets. How do we do that?”.
