The Huffington Post The Huffington Post has added a “Hot on Facebook” module to its home page and in a sidebar on posts: I like this and think it will do a good job of encouraging user clicks, similar to the Digg widget that has worked well on news sites. Seeing that stories have been liked thousands of times certainly caught my interest.

It really is a community. I think what delights me most about Amplify is that there really is a community sense to it. Ive only been active for a few weeks but find it is still a community that fosters interactions amongst a wide assortment of individuals who bring different backgrounds and experiences to share with one another.

Digg lets you find news that you know hundreds of other people recommend. Yet, if I’ve spent some time interacting with their community and leaving comments, it’s more likely that they will fulfil the request (as long as your resource is relevant, and awesome). Facebook lets you keep in touch with friends and family.
