HootSuite offers many great features that can aid bloggers in managing their Twitter accounts for blogging uses including promotion, monitoring, keyword tracking, reputation management and more. It is amazing the kind of relationship you can build with your community simply by following and listening to your readers. Question Tracking.

There are several other options, such as Flickr, Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, etc… even Ping.fm. It really is a community. I think what delights me most about Amplify is that there really is a community sense to it. I don’t auto-post to all of those, but it’s nice to have the option.

After using both Plurk and Twitter pretty heavily, I’ve come to the conclusion that Plurk is best at its features for community-building, whereas Twitter succeeds more with its interface that bolsters information-sharing. Also, some bloggers (including Ari Herzog and Valeria Maltoni ) don’t favor including tweets as comments, since they are not true “comments.&# All In One SEO Pack Like many bloggers, I utilize the excellent All in One SEO Pack plug-in to optimize posts for search engine rankings. It’s important to understand the communities you contribute to and to understand the rules of the sites that you target. FriendFeed is a service but it’s also a community. Cross-post on all social sites using a site like ping.fm. It’s about the collective, the community, and the common good.
