Godaddy , the domain name registrar, has apparently been caught registering domain names after someone has looked up the availability of a domain name. This guy claims that he looked up a domain name to see if that domain name was available.

No More Facebook Promotion? FB Fails to Renew FacebookPromotion.com

Facebook, who relies on Facebook promotions and ads for their revenue, failed to renew a domain name that they owned, FacebookPromotion.com. When you lookup that domain name in the whois, you’ll see “No domains found.” ” which shows that the domain name is not registered.
