All you have to do is go to your Categories widget, and select the option to “show as dropdown.&# I did try to find a widget that would do this for me, but didn’t see anything I liked. Be sure to list your new blog URL as well as your new RSS feed URL in that post so people can subscribe easily to your new site or visit it directly. If you don’t want to change the backend though, you can simply use a widget for your category dropdown and change the name to topics, that way it displays on the sidebar as such.

If you see that a certain site is sending a lot of RSS subscribers, you can work to get more traffic from that source. You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers.
