Moved Back to Netvibes One day several months ago, Netvibes annoyed me and I switched to Feedraider. I have no idea why, really, since Netvibes is so much better for what Im trying to do. Created a Dashboard for Myself One of the tabs I created for myself in Netvibes is called My Work. A quick bookmarks module --One of the netvibes modules you can drag and drop into your page is a Bookmarks Module. Wikis. Job Searching the Web 2.0

Recently I was asked to write an article for the European Council of International Schools Shortcuts Newsletter about using web 2.0 The 21st Century Educator: Embracing Web 2.0 However, all of that changed when I started to embrace web 2.0 The power of web 2.0 Here are a few of my favorites: Classroom 2.0. The best way to do that is using an RSS reader like Google Reader or Netvibes. ve gotten an idea of the web 2.0

There are also some good resources at the Learning Technologies Centre PLE Wiki , including some images and descriptions of other peoples PLEs. You may love Google Reader, but I still want my Netvibes--and Ill fight you to the death for it. And be sure to check out the Common Craft Plain English series of videos on RSS , Wikis and Social Bookmarking --in 3.5 For example, Ive used wikis to manage my own projects and RSS as a way to stay on top of information I need for my job.

blogs, wikis, podcasts, social bookmarking and others â?? The differing viewpoints of PLEs are reflective of infancy of the concept, and the practical applications of the read/write web itself. A few definitions: "A Personal Learning Environment (PLE) is a collection of free, distributed, web-based tools, usually centred around a blog, linked together and aggregating content using RSS feeds and simple HTML scripts." PLEs can exist partly on a desktop and the web.
