The volunteers have begun with discussion/overview of the schedule of upcoming events. well that is one of the best examples of websites using Drupal. Mir has also beautifully addressed on the community aspects of drupal and using Drupal as a CMS for websites. I have quitely taken a seat at the back and am blogging live.

A great place to start is a video on YouTube called “ Twitter in plain english. &# This is a great overview for the people that ask “ WTF Twitter? &# and gives you a 10,000 foot view of what the possibilities are with it. Example: @ijustine I love that song too! don’t think this is weird, it’s happened to me.

I have actually heard this exact sentiment from several companies and agencies recently, wondering whether they should increase their Facebook efforts because the size of the member community is just so overwhelming. If your community is there, then you should be too, and the question is really rhetorical, isn’t it?

Track things like audience/community sentiment (positive/negative) if you want to map effort to results. Get a Wordpress.com account for its OpenID benefits. Use social networks respectfully to share the best of your content, in a community-appropriate setting. Remember that community and marketplace are two different things.
